The ISIS Files
I managed the launch of The ISIS Files repository with an initial tranche of 62 documents and four reports. I coordinated with a cross-functional team to:
- Develop and document the workflow for each file, containing both Arabic and English documents
- Ensure initial tranche of documents met all requirements
- Identify dependencies and deadlines
- Communicate shared expectations
Facilitate Usability Testing and Focus Groups
I facilitated regular low-stakes usability testing to surfaces ways to improve our web presence. Additionally I consulted other teams within the George Washington University Libraries and Academic Innovation building digital tools in employing usability testing best practices to improve their tools. Prior to the launch of the Academic Commons and
Web Accessibility Remediation Project
In order to meet the George Washington University’s policy for digital accessibility, I managed the GW Libraries and Academic Innovation web team’s agile workflow for remediation, including identifying issues using software and standard accessibility tests, excluding false positive issues, determining priority and complexity, and maintaining the backlog. I wrote “Donation Expands Textbook Access for Students” for Vision 2020, the George Washington University Libraries and Academic Innovation’s annual magazine for alumni, parents, and donors.
I offered two workshops to the George Washington University community. In “Shaping Your Professional Online Presence,” I covered ways to leverage LinkedIn, website portfolios and other social media to create a polished online presence.
